About us

Mind Works Meditation started in 2015 as a small meditation blog written by Marina and Frane, a husband-and-wife team who practice together. This prototype is a fresh start for that project.

Our aim is simple: meditation information that respects your time and your intelligence. The old site, like many blogs of its era, accumulated a mix of genuinely useful guides and a long tail of thin posts — infographic embeds, keyword pages, and reviews that aged badly. We are not interested in preserving that volume for its own sake.

So this refresh works on three commitments:

  • Plain language. Meditation is not mysterious. It is a trainable skill of paying attention, and it can be explained without mystical pressure or spiritual jargon.
  • No guarantees. Meditation research is real but modest, and individual results vary. We will not tell you that ten minutes a day will cure, fix, or transform anything. Health claims belong to clinicians, not blogs.
  • Curated, not copied. Every guide here is newly written, replaces a specific outdated post, and is reviewed before it is published. Thin content gets superseded, not migrated.

Where to start

  • Meditation Basics — What meditation is, what it is not, and how to build a simple daily practice you can actually sustain.
  • Daily Life — Bringing short, realistic practices into a busy day — at work, in the car, and in the margins between obligations.
  • Traditions & Styles — Honest introductions to the major meditation traditions and styles — Zen, Samatha, Anapana, walking, transcendental and yoga meditation.
  • Mindful Living — The wider mindful life: journaling, retreats, restful spaces and small rituals that support a calmer week.

Mind Works Meditation is a hobby project written by practitioners, not a healthcare provider.
